Nintendo and Opera
Posted Tuesday, May 23, 2006

In a recent agreement between Opera Software and Nintendo, the Nintendo DS handheld gaming device, featuring a wi-fi connection, and the next generation gaming console Nintendo Wii will allow users to access the internet using the Opera browser. The Nintendo DS' dual-screen should allow for some unique web applications.
The Nintendo DS features an on-screen keypad and stylus, so users can browse the web just like they would using a PDA. Because this software is based on the same core as the standard Opera desktop browser, Nintendo users will experience the same speed and rendering of web pages.
You can learn more about the Nintendo / Opera browser as well as Nintendo specific web development techniques by visiting the official Opera Software website.
